How does the weight on the left side help the inside to on line path back to the inside help 90 percent of the population that swings to inside and over already and for the average person today that is over weight not flexible, bad backs, knee's, other hurting body area's and no time to practice?

A concerning 21 year golf instructor.

Thanks,

You say to learn to play the game read from Hogan and Tiger - if thats the only way, how did Hogan and Tiger get so good? Through exploration, trial and error, and thats what everyone should do. I personally dont think you can get taught golf - i think you just learn how to play it through feel, and then get fine tuning after. Would you need a lesson on how to throw a ball of paper into a trash can? NO, of course not - you learn't that motion through feel.

People try and disect the golf swing, but just stick with the ball of paper for a moment. Think about the ultra fine motor skills and co-ordination that is required to aim and release the paper at the just the right point, on the correct trajectory and line, with the right amount of power - yet we do it without thinking, and if we miss, throw another. This time, you would have learnt from the first one, and will probably get closer, if not you'll get it straight into the bin. You see, here we are directed by the desired result. Yet in golf, for some reason, we learn a technique first and then try and apply it to the game. I believe that almost all golf instruction is flawed as it is the wrong way round. Dont teach me how to throw a paper ball into a bin - just put the bin in front of me, give me a few balls of paper and i'll within a few minutes i'll be throwing 7 out of 10 balls straight into the bin.
